You don’t have to be a student to use the Student Satchel but the portrait version is a good size for an A4 paper size, an iPad and a couple of text books. There are zip pockets on the flap and back panel. Henry tends to use the more flexible full grain satchel leathers for a softer, more relaxed, handle. The shoulder strap is 1.5″ / 38mm wide and made from a double thickness of leather and is adjustable down its whole length.
Henry offered his son Michael any bag from his catalogue for his 18th birthday. Michael opted for the student satchel structure and features but tipped on its side (landscape orientation for better access) and slightly larger to accommodate his laptop (chip off the old block?). Henry now offers this variation but at a £10 surcharge (Royalty? No. Improved design). If you would prefer to have Michael’s modification, simply specify in the ‘queries/requests’ box that is part of the order form. Henry will then confirm by personal email.
